DEVELOPMENT, INNOVATION
These years, companies and organisations allocate increasing resources to innovation and
development. The reason is the financial growth and its coherence with innovation/¬development.
Technological development and intensified international competition translate into an increased
need to focus on how to supply new solutions and products to the customers. This, in turn, makes
heavy demands on the persons responsible for development and innovation.
Innovation is man-made and requires very good living conditions to work. Motivation and joy
drive these processes – they are fuelled by individual factors coming from within. If you are not
personally motivated and turned on, nothing will happen. Thus, motivation is required for
creativity or innovation to be generated at all. The results may be creativity (ideas) or
innovation (new products in the broadest sense of the word). We apply the following definitions
relative to innovation.
Creativity = new, inspiring
Invention = unique, usable, descriptive
Innovation = unique, usable, successful
Creativity and innovation in organisational terms are of vital importance for finding the
right framework and the optimal leadership.
Be at the cutting edge of mergers and fusions! Only 20% of planned mergers and fusions
succeed. Most often because of failure to create a new culture in the merged company. We have a
well-tested programme to create the new cross-organisational culture with success.
The latest research on stress indicates that stress can be classified into three categories
of work-related stress traumatising,
1. Work-related stress (hard pressure – physically and mentally)
2. Work-related traumatising (downright industrial injury)
3. Work-related de-humanising (terminology in the surveys are comparable to
that of victims of torture)
You may ask yourself – what kind of outlook on life is it that we practice in our company,
and what is our framework for development and innovation?
At Wolf Way we are ready to enter into short or longer-term relation aiming at development
and innovation – as a kind of variable resource. Situations where development and innovation are
having a hard time occur in large and small organisations alike. Reasons may vary – such as the
size of the organisation, long decision-making processes, force of habit, lack of human resources
etc….
In such situations it may prove an extremely good idea to hire an external coach/trainer to
drive a fixed-term internal development or innovation process in training or product development.
The advantages count a fix-term contract, a different angle on the challenges, different solutions,
identification of new opportunities, delivering results.
